
Our Mission
Wicklow Working Together Ltd. is a Community Based Organisation working towards Social Inclusion in Wicklow Town and its environs
WWT aims to:
- combat unemployment and social exclusion in Wicklow town and its environs.
- build and develop productive partnership relationships with the statutory bodies, other community organisations, social partners and local public representatives;
- address the needs of a range of people who experience exclusion, such as long term unemployed / underemployed people, disadvantaged women and men, Travellers, ethnic minorities, older people, lone parents, people with disabilities, gays, lesbians, bi-sexuals and trans-sexuals, disadvantaged young people and young people at risk, homeless people, ex-prisoners and offenders, substance misusers, disadvantaged communities living in urban areas or isolated rural areas;
- promote the sustainable development of the WWT catchment area;
- promote an inclusive model of the local community where differences are respected, where justice is sought for all and where distinct cultures and identities are recognised.
WWT is committed to the promotion of community development principles in its work, namely:
